resources
A list of resources I regularly recommend to my clients
guidance you can access right away
I have pulled together a list of my go-to resources which I share with clients at the start of our work or to help them build strategies for a specific problem. Theses resources are a mix of questionnaires, books, podcasts, worksheets, and documentaries that can help to boost any work you are doing on yourself right now or offer guidance if you are not able to invest in therapy or coaching at the moment. I have grouped these resources by problem area but they do overlap in many ways, so don’t judge yourself if you find this, it is perfectly normal.
Some of the resources I have suggested are about problems that might not be within your direct control e.g. discrimination, but may be having an impact on you. I share these types of resources in the hope that you feel less alone with the challenges you face and have more access to knowledge and strategies for self-preservation and resistance.
please note
The resource list offered below should not be relied upon as a substitute for medical or legal advice and you should never delay seeking treatment because you are accessing therapy or coaching from my practice. Please bear in mind that these resources are usually recommended to clients directly and may not fit your specific problem or may need to be adapted based on your specific needs. This resource list is therefore meant to be be a starting point and not a substitute for therapy, coaching, medical or legal advice. I suggest reading them critically and cherry-picking what resonates for you.
Resources
The following resource list gives you a bit of an idea of the areas I explore with my clients and the kind of approach I take. For example, one resource is titled ‘how trying to be nice can lead to illness’ is an area I explore with clients who come with to me with emotional exhaustion as the two are often linked. In therapy or coaching my client’s and I look critically look at these types of resources and focus on the potentially beneficial strategies, wisdom and tips from them. And just like with my clients, I welcome your thoughts and feelings on this content and how they may have helped you at difficult times.
